Brewed during the winter, so took nearly two months to ferment. Delivery service by Beer2Bottle fast and efficient - as always. Instructions easy to follow. Will purchase again in the future. Wonderful flavour.
All good, emailed the following day with gift card which i was able to print off and place in a Birthday card.
I like it. I am reasonably new to wine homebrewing and am in the experimentation phase. I'd previously got another twin lever corker of the sort commonly seen for sale on various websites. But this is a significant step up. Previously I had all issues with corks either not fully engaging or going too far in to be retrieved, depending on the geometry of the bottle neck. Once adjusted this gives really consistent results and I felt there was a bit more leverage that its competitor and it also clamps around the neck differently (it clamps around in a really unique sphincter-like way as well as resting on top) (do I get a prize for first ever appropriate use of the word "sphincter" in a review? :0)
Used once so far and I quite like it. It's a fair old size and I think you'll get as many dry hops in here as you'd tastefully need for a 40 pint brew. The gauze is very fine which stopped any hop bits getting through for me, yet allowed the hop aroma to come through. Certainly a lot less hassle than fabric bags or stretching socks over the end of siphons. Perhaps a tad pricey but a good tool to have.
This turned out ok and a bit more drinkable than the raspberry. I cheated a bit as I wasn't tempted by something that brews to 3% with a following wind so I did add 1kg light DME. I also dry-hopped with 30g Cascade I had left over from a previous brew. The result wasn't too bad but I wouldn't bother again. Significant other found it drinkable which was an unexpected bonus.
...which is a polite way of saying I really didn't like this. I brewed it with 1kg light DME but it just completely lacked body and the raspberry-ness was dubiously vague. Not quite pour-it-away bad but utterly un-fufilling.
Used this yesterday in my sparkling Pineapple wine recipe. Gives body to brews.
Excellent quality corks which are easy to cork bottles and don’t break up in the process compared to others I have used.
When I'm doing my Belgium tripples I usually put an enhancer in with 2 maybe 3kg of dextrose. I bin the yeast that comes with the kit and use Voss Kviek yest and some fermaid o not going to say what I've got the abv too but its not for the faint hearted. The beer enhancer is a great edition. Go buy some.
I Get all my kits, ingredients, equipment etc here it's good price & really quick despatch thank you
I have been buying these kits for quite a long time now...initially I found them quite sweet but have since reduced the amount of sugar used by 250g and they are perfect...
Ordered two kits first one near to bottling so cannot give raceing but have never been let down before so I anticipate a good brew
Have used this 6 times with 5 gallon wines. Can’t really taste any oak flavour but the wine does taste smoother earlier after bottling.
Will continue to use it.
Always reliable at a great price. If you dry hop these kits they are as good as other kits costing twice the price
The cider kit was delivered on time and well pack cannot wait to taste the Toffee Apple Cider
Kegs seem to be in short supply at the moment - no idea why. Found one at a sensible price on Brew2Bottle, who I have not shopped with before. Whole thing went without a hitch and I received a good quality keg for a fair price within a couple of days of placing the order. Very happy first time customer who will likely return in future
